In this role, you will provide leadership and consulting from an Internal Medicine Hospitalist (and/or other care specialty) perspective for Vizient's operations work to include ambulatory care, quality improvement, value-based care, physician advisory, case management, denials management, documentation & coding, physician workforce and hospital-based physician design.You will act as an Executive Partner, effectively managing project P&L and scope, while also guiding project teams cross functionally to drive member value over a significant book of business.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage strategic importance or growth potential expertise to deliver member value and drive business.
  • Identify trends and uses data-driven insights to explore hypotheses and make recommendations on complex business problems that span the member's system of care.
  • Guide team on all aspects of qualitative and quantitative analyses by leveraging client experience and expertise.
  • Plan and / or lead quality execution of projects, programs, or operations.
  • Oversee an annual engagement portfolio of projects.
  • Shape the opinions of Vizient and members' senior executives by confidently presenting complex, influential and persuasive arguments.
  • Create and build strong, lasting trusted advisor relationships with the C-suite.
  • Participate in membership-related activities as a subject matter expert (e.g., expert calls, account planning meetings, development of custom intelligence deliverables).
  • Contribute to driving revenue by participating in and identifying member upsell and cross-sell opportunities and serving as a subject matter expert throughout the sales process.
  • Identify new business opportunities by engaging clients from the identification of issues / ideas to consulting opportunities.
  • Lead function / practice development activities, which could include developing, launching and implementing new or improved services / products; provides input into functional strategy.
  • Partner with other operational leaders to develop tools, processes, and workflows to enable optimal clinical operations for our members.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed physician and board certification in internal medicine or related primary specialty highly preferred.
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience serving in roles such as: Physician Advisor, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Quality Officer, Peri-Operative Medicine Specialist, Ambulatory Quality Advisor is preferred
  • Must be knowledgeable in current federal, state, and payor regulatory and contract requirements.
  • Prior experience conducting educational sessions for consulting and analytic staff highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients' needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

$187,800.00 - $293,400.00
