Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Bridge/Structural Engineer to assist on a variety of public and private sector infrastructure projects in Miami, FL! We are seeking to add a full time Bridge Engineer in our Miami Office to participate in the design of highway, rail, and pedestrian bridge projects for public and private sector clients from scoping through construction phases.

Responsibilities

  • The selected candidate will work in the Infrastructure Department (Bridges and Structures) on various projects including new or rehabilitated bridges, culverts, and associated miscellaneous structures.
  • Work opportunities in other similar service lines may be available (Canals, rail, highway, etc.) to broaden your career, or provide introductions in other groups/managers.
  • Responsibilities will include bridge design, culvert design, miscellaneous structures, technical reports and estimating.
  • The selected candidate will assist our Project Managers with calculations, design reviews, permitting, review of plans & calculations, and the development of specifications/construction documents.
  • Some field inspection duties may be required.
  • Includes design work and may include some opportunities for client-facing interaction.
  • Participate in the interpretation, update, and/or creation of Standards of Practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 0-2 years' experience.
  • EIT preferred.
  • Prior DOT experience highly preferred.
  • Be able to work multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in highway/bridge/culvert layout.
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
  • Experience with FDOT/AASHTO standards/publications a plus.
  • Experience with municipal projects a plus.
