Manager of Production Cell Culture Media

We are currently seeking a Manager of Production Cell Culture Media for our manufacturing plant based in Yauco, Puerto Rico. In this position, you will be responsibleto drive operational excellence in delivery of the production plan keeping in mind People, Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives. It will be integral part of the business growth in terms of products lines and customers.

Grow with us- Your Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Plan production activities for short-, mid- and long-term forecast
  • Guarantee product quality during the manufacturing process
  • Manage cell media Manufacturing Supervisors
  • Support production Non -Conformances, manufacturing projects and process continuous improvements
  • Assure that manufacturing personnel is in compliance with trainings and quality system requirements
  • Facilitate S&OP execution
  • Manage manufacturing plant production activities
  • Solve manufacturing problems and accelerate the development projects related to media business
  • Build a strong team that is able to set up and run state of the art production
  • Develop a technological vision for the manufacturing area
  • Have a constant overview about technological trends and plan how to implement them into his plant
  • Take care for a people development and training plan for his employees to follow technological developments
  • Be a mentor / coach for manufacturing of supervisors, engineers and operators creating a stable environment.
  • Grow the business with additional product lines and customers

What will convince us - Qualification & Skills:

  • BS in Engineering or Life Science.
  • Advance degree is preferred
  • Lean Sigma certification and/or experience is highly desired
  • 10 years of experience in manufacturing environment and at least 5 years leading teams.
  • Visionary view on long term production technology development
  • Strong leadership skill - ability to deal with employees on all levels from Board to shop floor
  • Fully bilingual (Spanish and English)
