Responsibilities

Duties: The Data Acquisition and Analysis Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Lombard, IL will be responsible for configuring, testing, validating, and installing data acquisition devices and related hardware on Agricultural and Construction Machinery. The job duties include working closely with Engineering, Test Labs, and Product validation groups to configure these devices and analyze data as per customer needs. Using proprietary software to configure CNHi data acquisition (DAQ) devices for various Agricultural and Construction Machinery. Configuring DAQ devices to collect data from additional sensors (thermocouple, load cells , strain gauge etc.) using CSM Modules, IPEtronik modules etc. Building and modifying existing harnesses to connect the DAQ device and sensors to the specific machinery, and testing them on bench setup or machine and verifying for proper configuration and data quality. Shipping and installing the data acquisition devices securely on the machinery, including building brackets to have these devices securely installed, if needed. Writing detailed documents showing installation and data downloading procedure. Downloading data from the data acquisition devices, data conversion, monitoring data quality, transferring data to a CNHi server. Preparing detailed weekly/monthly reports on data collected. Working with Engineering and Product Validation team in planning for data acquisition and analysis requirements. Providing team progress updates to direct manager as needed. Ensuring the use of engineering standards, methodologies, and global product development processes in engineering team's daily work. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week. Salary: $99,000-$145,200/year.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Automotive Engineer, Test Engineer or related occupation. The 2 years of experience must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: 1) configuring and installing data acquisition systems for vehicles; 2) Vector CANalyzer; 3) analyzing data collected from vehicle tests; and 4) reporting vehicle test findings to management.
