The Sr Accountant is responsible for:

Preparation of financial statements on a monthly and annual basis (including maintaining reconciliations and balance sheet subsidiary ledgers and workpapers).

Responsibilities
    Processing and maintaining accounting system for financial transactions
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and manage the company's general ledger
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Create and retain balance sheet workpapers
  • Conduct variance and trend analysis to confirm accuracy of financial data
  • Preparation of financial statements on a monthly and annual basis
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Ability to interact with external audit firm
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years' progressive accounting experience, and an in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, multitask, and know when to seek manager's guidance
  • Comfortable speaking to others via phone, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Expertise with QuickBooks Enterprise
  • BST experience in the ACEC industry experience is a plus
  • Experience in an audit environment
  • CPA licensure or CPA eligible
